Amber Moye

Welcome to Mrs. Moye's Class!

My goal as an educator is to help every child reach their maximum potential. This is my fifth year working with students who are Dyslexic. I am very passionate about what I do and will do everything possible to help your child become a successful reader. Reading is a very essential part of life and I am blessed to be apart of helping children overcome reading difficulties.

I will be using the Dyslexia Intervention Program. This is a multi-sensory approach that allows students to  practice in phonemic awareness, phoneme manipulation and decoding strategies.

Rules and Procedures:

Rules and procedures are needed in order to maintain a positive and productive classroom environment. I have high expectations for every individual student and want to help them learn and grow. Every student will be awarded stickers for good behavior. When one row of stickers is achieved, students are able to pick out a prize from my treasure chest.

In order for a student to receive a sticker, they must follow all of the following rules:

  1. Be respectful and courteous to yourself and others

  2. Do your best

  3. Follow instructions

  4. Keep hands, feet and all other objects to yourself

  5. Treat others the way you would want to be treated

Homework:

Every student will be given a homework folder. Homework for the week will be given on Monday and then returned completed on Thursday. This is also where I will put any notes or information that may be needed.

Please join us on our journey to become a good reader. Parental involvement is both very much needed and appreciated by both your child and myself. Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
